I create posters with quotes for my mom’s author page on facebook. When she and I first started this venture, I told her that we shouldn’t use pictures that might detract from the message. Here’s an example of one of the posters. Notice how the brick background matches the brick theme of the message.
Now, since this idea is usually at the front of my consciousness and I’m feeling a bit snarky today, I noticed some inspirational posters pinned on Pinterest that do, in fact, feature elements that cause me not to really read the message at all. I often have thoughts that probably aren’t what the creators of these posters intended, and I’ve decided to share said thoughts with you, oh readers who appreciate a bit of humor. The caption beneath each image is my initial thought when I saw the image.
Disclaimer: I didn’t make any of these, and I don’t know who did. And as anyone who uses Pinterest knows, the pins don’t often go where you can learn who made the images. If you happened to make an image and don’t want me to use it, tell me and I’ll remove it.
One more, I think.

Definitely laughed on this one. Kinda out loud. It was the Caw Caw thing, and some of the other remarks. Good stuff. I bet you could do some of these again and I doubt they’d get old.
As someone who loves creating inspirational posters, I refuse to take offense at your take on them, which is to say, I’m laughing with you! Please just don’t go off on any of mine. 😉
LOL. I’ll try not to. 😉
