About Me

Maruska FamilyWelcome to my web page and blog. This little adventure started in March, 2012 as a humor blog. I fell in love with writing and tried my hand at fiction.

I like to post in line with my humor blog roots, but I also include posts about teaching and writing specifically. Click on a topic in the tag cloud or on the menu bar to find posts that interest you, or click on my name in the banner to see the most recent content. If you enjoy the posts, be sure to hit the “follow” button so you don’t miss a thing!

My debut novel, The Fourth Descendant, was released on February 4, 2015 and was on Amazon best-seller lists for eighteen months. My YA urban fantasy called Drake and the Fliers was released in November, 2015, and is proving to be a fan favorite. The first part of my YA trilogy, Project Renovatio, was released in April, 2016, followed by Project Liberatio in August. The final installment, Project Ancora, completed the trilogy on March 1, 2017. My most recent release is The Seventh Seed, the standalone sequel to Descendant.

If the books brought you here, be sure to check out the Bonus Material page for more goodies!

I’m planning to launch a Penable Academy by the end of next week with free writing courses for anyone to access and learn from.

One of the reasons I like the social media is the opportunity to discover other writers you may not know. I’m happy to stumble upon your blog.
