Attention, fiction and nonfiction writers: there are two contests currently running, and the proceeds support a wonderful cause. As if that weren’t enough, there are prizes! The cost is small and the rewards are huge.
“Four Paws for Noah” is a fundraiser for Noah Ainslie, a nine-year-old boy with Autism who is in the process of receiving a service dog. Appa, Noah’s dog friend, will ease Noah’s transitions from subject to subject, space to space and improve his access to the joys of childhood through anxiety intervention. All submission fees directly support Noah and Appa on their journey through a better life together.
Here are the links to the contests.

Many subscribers to this blog are writers, or you know writers, so I hope this message reaches far and wide. Having worked with autistic students in my years as an elementary educator, this cause is especially close to my heart. Noah’s service dog will make all the difference for him. I have entered. I hope you do as well.
If you aren’t interested in the writing piece but would still like to support Noah, click here to go to his GoFundMe page. As always, thank you for reading.
