Why will they be exciting? I’ll do a short answer for those wanting the bottom line and a long answer for anyone wanting to know the method to this madness.
Short answer:
From now through January 10th, you can get both of my ebooks for less than a buck.
Broken down: The Fourth Descendant is $0.99 – only in the US and UK. Sorry, everyone else.
and
Drake and the Fliers is free – everywhere, I think.
Click on those titles to go to the books’ Amazon pages.
Long answer:
The Fourth Descendant is on sale because a few weeks ago it was accepted for a BookBub promotion.
I know!
Other author-y types are totally on board with me right now, because BookBub is a hell of a break. For everyone else, allow me to explain.
BookBub is a book promotion website/email subscription service. Readers sign up to get news of great deals on great books in their preferred genres. There are millions and millions of subscribers. Because there are so many subscribers, and authors and publishers know this, BookBub can be super picky about who they allow to promote with them. The stat I’ve seen most often is 10-15% of submissions are accepted.
I submitted TFD twice earlier in 2015 and was not selected. Around Black Friday, sales picked up. A lot. Reviews followed. An author friend suggested trying BookBub again, so I did, expecting another rejection. Two days later, I got the email saying it was picked.
Holy freaking crap.
So what does it all mean? The sales potential is huge. I hope TFD will break the top 100 of all ebooks for sale on Amazon. It’s floated between 350 and 500 for the past month, so I think it’s entirely possible. I’ll post updates on my facebook page, so make sure you’re following that if you want to join the ride.
But wait, there’s more!
Drake and the Fliers wanted to get in on the fun (YA books are like that), so it gets a free book promo through Amazon. It has some amazing reviews going for it; one of those came from a book blogger for Talk Nerdy With Us. I’m hoping it reaches the hands and eyeballs of a bunch of new readers.
So there you have it! I hope you guys take advantage of the deals!
So exciting!!! I get BookBub every day. I buy books off it probably 3 or 4 times a week. I can’t wait to see your books on there!! Congratulations Allison!!!
